Saka was in action for Arsenal on Sunday, May 22, 2022 as the Gunners defeated Frank Lampard’s Everton in their final Premier League fixture of the season at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka made his mark in that game as he provided Arsenal’s third goal for Portuguese full back Cédric Soares.
Despite the victory, Saka and Arsenal were unable to to qualify for Champions League football this season.
Saka visits Boston
Saka appreciated Arsenal fans despite the Champions League disappointment with a message on his official Instagram account that said, ” Thanks for supporting us in every moment this year.”
With the season over, Saka is already on vacation in the United States of America (USA).
The 20-year-old attended the ECF Game 4 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat at the TD Garden in Massachusetts.
Saka met up with American professional basketball player of Nigerian descent Aaron Nesmith.
Nesmith has been linked with the Nigerian men’s senior basketball team known as D’Tigers while Saka had the option to play for the football team known as the Super Eagles.
