The narrative of the governorship election results in Kano has changed following the announcement of results from the Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
The latest result announced has seen the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) bounce back, while the candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) is following closely.
Before the break at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre in the state, the NNPP was leading, until votes from Bichi were announced.
Nasir Gawuna of the APC is now leading with 444,537 votes while the NNPP is trailing with 427,496 votes.
There is a margin of 17,041 votes between them.
