Berbatov described the Nigerian, as the ideal striker for Man United who are in the market for a centre forward.
Osimhen has been in great form for Napoli this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.
He is leading Napoli’s first title charge in 33 years and has helped them reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the very first time in their history.
The Reds plan to recruit an elite-level striker ahead of next season and for Berbatov, Osimhen is the man they should target.
“Victor Osimhen. The guy is unbelievable at the moment.
“He’s very young, he’s great in the air, his speed is exceptional and the goals he’s scoring for Napoli are unbelievable. If they do go for a striker in the summer, then they should go for him over everybody else,” The Bulgarian who had 56 goals in 149 games for United said.
Despite the well publicized interest in Victor Osimhen, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag is also an admirer of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
