Banks, other businesses at NASS complex shut down ahead of Buhari budget presentation

Security at the National Assembly has been tightened in anticipation of the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari who us expected to lay the 2022 budget.

The annual ceremony of laying of budget always have tolls on businesses within the National Assembly complex.

DAILY POST observes that banks in the complex are shut down and other vendors selling food and other commodities will not be opened for business.

There are several banks within the complex, however, none of the banks opened today.

It would be recalled that both chambers of the National Assembly passed the revised Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) with some few adjustments to the proposal by Buhari.

Also, the House on Wednesday held a long closed door session. It is believed that the session discussed the budget presentation.

President Buhari will be presenting the budget by 12 pm.
