The pregnant wife of the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees in Zamfara State, Sanusi Mohammed Gusau has been abducted by bandits.
The terrorists kidnapped Ramatu Yunusa who was due for delivery in their house in Damba Gusau early Tuesday morning.
Gusau who spoke with Punch on the issue said bandits gained access to his house around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and abducted his pregnant wife.
The NULGE Chairman noted that he was awake when the terrorists jumped over the fence with plans to abduct him but he quickly hid.
Gusau said, “They jumped over the wall and broke my door but before they could enter my room, I was able to hide somewhere.
“When they searched the house and could not see me, they abducted my pregnant wife, Ramatu.”
According to Gusau, his wife is due for delivery at any point in time.
He added, “She could give birth anytime from now because her expected delivery date is in this week.”
Gusau noted that the terrorists have not reached out to him.
