ASUU AE-FUNAI varsity protests IPPIS, vows to join planned strike action

The Tutorial Employees Union of Universities, ASUU, Alex Ekwueme Federal College Ndufu Alike-Ikwo, Ebonyi State on Wednesday protested the failure of the federal authorities to implement the 2020 Memorandum of Motion, MOA with the union.

The protesters tasked the federal authorities to cease using the Built-in personnel payroll data system, IPPIS, lamenting that lecturers are extremely impoverished by way of using IPPIS.

The protesters carried placards with the; “FGN you’ll not relaxation till excellent points are resolved, FGN is unserious with the implementation of UTAS, comrades say no to amputated salaries and withheld of allowances.

“FGN, we’re bored with your deceit; Authorities is unconcerned, unresponsive to the event of ASUU, FGN hearken to the phrases of knowledge and salvage the college system, And so forth”.

The chairman and secretary of ASUU, Ogugua Egwu and Joseph Chukwu who spoke with journalists shortly after the protest stated “we’re matching towards the evil in authorities who of their wickedness has disadvantaged us of all of the goodies we must always have been having fun with. We symbolize the crop of people that produce, develop, practice and help the long run leaders of our nation Nigeria.
