Arsenal vs Brentford – Premier League: Stats, top goalscorers and assists

One of the most entertaining games of the Premier League weekend is expected to be Arsenal vs Brentford, two sides enjoying even better seasons than expected.

It will be a really fascinating test for the Gunners after they suffered a 1-0 defeat away at Goodison Park last weekend. That is the first time all season they have lost a league game they were overwhelming favourites to win, so it is yet to be seen how they will react to it in what should be an even tougher game.

They still sit at the top of the table and did not lose ground to Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s side lost to Tottenham, but Arsenal will need to see a reaction against Brentford. Here are some of the key stats to take a look at.

Top fixture goalscorers

The clash at the Emirates Stadium will take place on Saturday, February 11 at 15:00 GMT. That means that it won’t be available to watch on TV in the United Kingdom, but it will be available in other countries.

Arsenal are five points ahead of Manchester City with a game at hand which means things can very quickly get a lot more comfortable as well as incredibly nervy. For Brentford, they are genuinely eyeing up a European campaign next season.

The Bees sit in seventh place which would get them into the Europa Conference League. They have a one-point lead over Fulham having played a game fewer and, after Arsenal’s loss to Everton, Thomas Frank’s side may smell blood here.

Apart from Pontus Jansson and Frank Onyenka who are being assessed, Brentford have got a clean bill of health and no suspensions to contend with. Arsenal could be without Gabriel Jesus, Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith-Rowe and Mohamed Elneny for the game.
