A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Prof. Dickson Ameh Akoh has asked the Benue State Governor-elect, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia and his Deputy, Dr Sam Ode to be prepared to make life more meaningful by providing dividends of democracy for the people of the state.

Akoh a renowned Community leader pleaded with the governor to thoroughly address the hardships being encountered by the downtrodden citizens as a way of reciprocating their vote investment in the incoming administration.

In a statement to welcome the election of the Reverend Father, Akoh reminded him that the people of the state are expecting him to end the hardships they are facing within a possible short time.

Prof Akoh said that the emergence of Father Alia as Governor-elect is a confirmation of the yearnings and aspirations of the Benue people for positive change and development.

He disclosed in the statement that the victory of Father Alia is indeed a victory for the birthing of a new Benue, where democratic dividends and tangible development are expected to prevail over mediocrity and underdevelopment.

Akoh expressed confidence in the ability of the Governor-elect to change the rhetoric in Benue State through human capital and Infrastructural development in all nooks and crannies of the State.

To him, Fr Alia’s intimidating credentials will in no distant time become manifest in the State.

He advised the Governor-elect to assemble a credible team of technocrats and policymakers with vast experience in the governance of the state so as not to dash the high expectations and the goodwill demonstrated by the electorates in electing him.

Prof. Akoh equally extended the same charge to all the House of Assembly members-elect on the platform of the All-Progressives Congress in the state

He, however, asked them to be prepared to give their optimum best in enacting laws that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the good people of the state.

The Oyachaba K’Idoma praised the leader of the party, Senator George Akume, the Chairman, Austin Agada, major stakeholders and the entire APC family for relentlessly working round the clock to secure the landmark victory for the party in the state.
