Striker Chuba Akpom added two more goals to take his tally to 16 in the Championship this season.
The Championship’s top scorer Chuba Akpom was the star of the show as Middlesbrough comfortably beat Blackpool 3-0 on Saturday.
The former Arsenal academy graduate scored one in each half to take his league tally to 16 and Paddy McNair added another as Boro stay third in the table.
With the win, the Michael Carrick’s men are now 10 points behind second-placed Sheffield United thanks to a ninth win in 11 games.
They are still very much in race for automatic promotion to the English Premier League.
