Adeyanju Reacts As Wike Hosts Wamakko In Port Harcourt

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the meeting between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and a former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

Naija News earlier reported that Governor Wike played host to Senator Wamakko at his country home in Rumuepirikom, Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

The former Governor of Sokoto is in the South-South state to commission the dualised Ogbunabali road in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Wamakko’s visit to the state is coming 24 hours after Wike had invited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to inaugurate the Orochiri-Worukwo (Waterlines junction) Flyover.

Wike has been meeting with governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after falling out with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Those from the APC that have visited Wike include Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and others.

Reacting, Adeyanju in a tweet via his Twitter handle, said stated that the invitation of Wamakko, who is a strong opponent of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, to the state is political.

He wrote: “Politics is just amazing. After hosting Sanwolu yesterday to commission projects in Rivers State, Gov Wike is currently hosting former Sokoto Gov, Senator Aliyu Wammako who is a strong opponent of Tambuwal.”
