A Director Appearing To Defend A Company

He's A Candidate, Not The President - Keyamo Fires Warning Shot To Those Monitoring Tinubu's Movements

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has released documents exonorating the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu of his alleged drug charges in the United States.

Naija News recalls that some documents were said to have been released by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois which allegedly indicted Tinubu in drug dealings and money laundering in Chicago.

The documents which went viral on Tuesday evening, revealed details on Tinubu’s alleged indictment in drug deals and receipt of illegal money while in the U.S.

The 56-page document released showed the long-held view that Tinubu faced issues related to narcotics charges in the US especially with the revelation that he forfeited up to $460,000 to the U.S. authorities in 1993.

Shedding more light on the charges against his principal on Thursday, Keyamo shared documents in which he claimed that Tinubu was not a direct party to the case.

He wrote, “Document on the left is the ORIGINATING PROCESS which indicates TINUBU was NOT a party to the case (in rem). The right is a SUMMONS to the OWNER of the accounts to appear to defend the accounts, but DOES NOT make him A PARTY; it is like a director appearing to defend a company.”
