2023: Yahaya Bello Abandoned Governance For Presidential Ambition – APC Chieftain, Sulaiman

2023 Presidency: I Will Make Nigerians Millionaires Like Buhari Did – Yahaya Bello

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lokoja Local Government, Ibrahim Sulaiman has condemned the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello over his presidential ambition.

According to Sulaiman, Bello ignored the calls not to neglect his primary responsibility to the people of Kogi State because of his ambition.

Recall that Bello gathered 47 votes in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress which was won by Bola Tinubu who had 1,271 votes.

Sulaiman lamented that the Kogi State Governor relocated to Abuja in the past two years, adding that he has been killing APC through the imposition of unpopular candidates.

He wonders how Bello sleeps without his conscience troubling or pricking him for abandoning the people of Kogi State.

Suleiman in his reaction to Bello’s defeat said, “Despite persistent calls by groups and the opposition on the governor not to shirk his responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer of the State, the governor ignored everyone and abandoned governance in the State.

“The height of this was his relocation to since two years ago and the killing of APC in Kogi through the imposition of unpopular candidates during the just concluded party primaries all over the State.

“Sometimes one is perplexed and wonders how the governor sleeps without his conscience troubling or pricking him that he has abandoned those that he found himself in government to care for as their governor.

“There is no doubt that the task of rebuilding Kogi State and her image will be a daunting one by Gov. Bello’s successor after the bashing the governor has subjected the State, her treasury and image to in 7 years of misgovernance.

“Now that the governor’s daydream and Presidential cookie have crumbled in his face, let the governor immediately reconstitute the State Executive Council and allow the government to continue in the State even at the abysmal level we have lived with in the last seven years.”
