Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has stated his administration had inspired and motivated youths to takeover the mantle of management.
Badaru acknowledged this whereas responding to questions from newsmen, after he was honoured by Hadejia Ina Mafita, a non-political community-based group in Hadejia.
The governor acknowledged that since assuming management of the state, his administration had concerned youths in operating the affairs of the state.
“We’ve concerned youths in numerous positions, majority of our state meeting members, native authorities chairmen and particular assistants are youths.
“We did that to encourage them to be upright and work onerous to allow them to take over from us.”
The governor additionally acknowledged that he by no means anointed any candidate to be his successor in 2023.
“The selection of my successor is left for the folks of the state. My want is that the subsequent governor have to be any individual who’s fair-minded, listener and above all, who will proceed with the great work we’ve began.
