2023: Peter Okoye Takes 'Serious Action' Against His Friends, Management Team And Entourage Without PVC

Ahead of the 2023 general election, Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has issued a warning to Nigerians against selling their votes.

Naija News reports that despite campaigns against it, vote buying is a common occurence during elections in Nigeria and amidst the current hardship in the country, some citizens may be lured into selling their votes.

Peter Okoye took to his Instagram stories on Thursday to share a picture of American actor, Will Smith stretching his hands at the analysis of how Nigerians sell their votes to politicians.

With the singer’s calculation, electorates are selling their votes at ₦7 per day if they choose to collect ₦10000 during the 2023 election.

He wrote: “Assuming you sell your vote for ₦10000. Now, divide it by 365 days; that’s around ₦28, again, divide ₦28 by 4 years; that’s approximately ₦7. Now imagine selling your future at a rate of ₦7 per day!

“THINK TWICE BEFORE SELLING YOUR VOTES, NIGERIANS”.
